I expect with the champion intercoolers and the revised GIAC stage 2 plus tune, traps will go way up as the tune is supposed to not aggressively reduce boost and timing as it does now at high rpms.
The U.S. Record quarter mile car with GIAC stage 2, IPD plenum, tubi catless race exhaust and race gas (with GIAC race gas tune subfile) did 10.265 at 132 mph. Slightly faster than a stock 650s but slower trap.

132mph is low, I seen trap speeds of 130mph for a stock TTS several times
Give me an excuse to come back to PR!

I let you know when I get my 991 Turbo... And this time we are passing 600whp
Car 2 on the left is mine with the list of mods on my sig and half 93 and half 104 gas. The tires were PZeros with 8500 miles on them. Car, driver and gas were probably 3750-3800lb. That is substantially heavier than the McClaren but the car is also well modded. One thing for sure, my best 0-150 is 14.75 so the McClaren 650s would leave me in the dust higher up. I haven't run a really honest to goodness half mile but I have a vbox run that was ET of 16.8s and trap of 156 but my terminal speed was only 151 so obviously I slowed down before I finished the half mile, it was just an acceleration test and I had no distance markers where I was.

Agreed, I think Karl was using drag radials. ET is about 60ft time, it's not about how fast the car is. I like heads up racing because it includes everything, driver reaction, 60ft time and the power of the car. I beat a CTS V which was supercharged and probably making 750hp but it trapped 140mph with the same 10.8 ET as me and I only trapped 132.8 but my reaction time beat his by .3s so I won the race. He was pulling on me the whole way though and if the race was any longer, he would have passed me easily and dusted me. However, for the quarter, my car and my driving were enough to win.

A stock 650s will destroy a 991 TTS from a roll, even from a dig given long enough distance.
I raced a friend's P13(641 factory HP tune) Mclaren and from 70kmh I have no chance, by the time I'm doing 245 he's already 260+
And my car is Stage 2+ with 98 Octane on both cars.
I'll add an IPD Y-pipe and re-tune with a custom tune and have a rematch.
The same Mclaren leaves a stage 2 with pulley 2015 Viper in the dust. By that I mean about 3 cars ahead. Those Mclarens are no joke from rolling speeds.
Keep in mind the 12c is exactly as fast as 650s, maybe the 650 will be a bumper ahead due to better gearing.
BUT almost everything else in the 991 TTS is better, about 3 Mclarens I know had gearbox leaks after every couple races lol.

I believe your car can make 160+ in the 1/2 mile

By the way, our 98 octane super over here is actually 98 RON. It is equivalent to US 93 octane. Just saying.
