CPIGuy, Im running gaic stage 2 with fabspeed headers and exhaust, IPD Plenum, I will have the upgraded IC along with the stage 2 + as long as it gets released in time. And isn't sign ups for this event Monday at 10am?

 

The upgraded Champion IC are hitting the market. If you want one call Tom at Champion. When I was there last week they had enough product for about 14 kits. I knew at least one has been installed in a car since then as I rode in it on its shakedown rides. Acceleration is so vicious

Ditto. shipping my car there on Tuesday to get them installed as well as Techart Paddle Shifters. Also having them dyno and datalog the car. I currently have Europipe and I want to see the performance delta between that and Tubi catless. If it is only a small difference (0-15 bhp) or makes no difference on heat soak I will stick with EP due to volume issues (my neighbors already hate my exhaust volume and Tubi catless is a lot louder than EP on cold start).

 

you might get 10hp more from catless will be interesting to see the delta, ya cold start up my car sounds awesome. do the techart shifters stay fixed or do they rotate with the steering wheel like stock. Ive gotten used to the them rotating Ive had my car a Laguna seca 5 times now, car is an absolute beast at the track after I got rid of the P-Zeros I had some Trofeo R's on back order to the only R tire I could find was the Dunlop Maxx Race. I can only compare to P=Zero and there is no camparison these tires flat stick. completely changes your car.

 

Just signed up for Shift Sector I hope everyone got in. Im hearing there will be at least 1 group with 6 Mc cars Adam your gonna have to knock down a P-1 My guess is the P-1 probably will trap a few miles per hour faster than the 918?

 

The Techart shifters rotate with the wheel I believe. P Zeros are not grippy enough for a tuned 991 TTS.

 

I so wish I could do this event. Just too far to ship from NYC.

I think it's going to be hard for any 911 turbo on stock turbos to outrun a P1 in a half mile. But I can't wait to see Longboarder try.

 

Oh geez a P1 that's awesome! Can't wait to see and hear it. Sadly I don't think even with all the upgrades planned that I can hang with one in the half mile. The 918 drops a lot of power after 250kph but the P1 doesn't. It will likely trap high 170's which isn't going to happen for me realistically unless motor and trans were built and turbos upgraded.

 

Agreed. Some of the car magazines that I have read have tested the P1 and said it has even more top and than the LaFerrari. It would be quite an accomplishment if you could get your car into the 170s on stock turbos.

Adam and I both trapped over 165 mph in the attached half mile race, and we're both running more power since then. 170 mph is very possible, especially for Adam's monster!
