But $4k to ship it round trip from NYC to Cali for a one day event is more than I would spend for that. Shipped it once to Cali this year for Goldrush Rally 7

I registered for their new Exotic class: bolt ons only, stock turbo or S/C and no cheaters, I mean no nitrous.

Yes. It doesn't allow any aftermarket or upgraded power adders i.e. upgraded turbo, supercharger or nitrous.


I'll need to run down the Porsche 918 if I am gonna win. Dropping the car off at GIAC for some fuel system upgrades

 

Is it possible to run down the 918 on stock turbos?

 

The 918 trapped 173 mph last time IIRC. I would need 23-24psi redline to make it close.

 

IIRC? Was there a 918 at the Oregon event? I know there was a 918 or two at the Pike Peak event but I know traps were slower they are given the altitude.

You are not already running 23-24 psi? Or you are saying that you need to be running that PSI at redline. I know that at high speeds my current GIAC stage 2 tune cuts PSI. Hopefully the stage 2 plus with the upgraded ICs will not longer have that restriction

I doubt a 918 was in Oregon. The Exotic shootout was won by a 650 McLaren at 162 mph.


918 trapped 173 at Shift Sector AA8 in Coalinga.


I am running 30psi peak boost but it tapers down to 18psi at redline because of the fuel system. Once the fuel system is upgraded (I will be the first in the world with an upgraded system), then GIAC will turn down peak boost in the mid-range but turn up boost at redline. Car will be much faster that way.

Your car is pretty fast but good luck with that Herculean task LOl. Add Intercoolers, water/meth and lots of other good stuff first haha

 

Best of luck with the fueling upgrade. Interested to see how it turns out. From what I am told the 991 TT/TTS does not need that but it should make a big difference with the 997.2
