I have a TTS with LED headlights and want the black version - do I need to replace the whole unit or can you get the black insert fitted by the dealer?

If I do need to replace them completely, can I sell them on to someone without LEDS? Will they be compatible? (Hopefully I can offset some of the costs!)

glass is glued in, so dealers will change whole unit. nondealers will probably unglue glass and repaint mask

 

That's gotta be an expensive swap!

 

Another way to do this is have a highly skilled body shop to open up the headlights and customs paint it. The black LEDs still have chromes in them.

This method is not recommended unless your body shop really know what they are doing.
