IPD Y Pipe and Carbon Install
Does anyone know if the increase in horsepower and torque will be lost in our cars overtime with the Y pipe if a tune is not completed? Will the ECU just adapt to the increased airflow?
Yes most tuners advise ecu is adaptive and will compensate in normal mode over time. Sport and sport plus less so.
Had a chance to hit the 1/8 mile track tonight to test the new addition of the IPD Y pipe. Fact is the IPD Y Pipe uncorked big power throughout the range.
The prior week I consistently launched smoothly and consistently without wheel spin at the same track. The only change being the addition of the Y pipe.
Increased power was real and evident from launch. I could not get the car to hook at all. Massive wheel spin while utilizing LC all the way through the 60' and throughout the 330'.
Tried to launch on foot brake on the fully prepped track with the same result.
Guess I'm now in the market for some real tires instead of my stock tires .....

By Design - IPD compatible - By Design- Intercoolers going on in a few days...
Have an appt. to dyno next week and will reveal it all.... Looking forward to the reduced IATs as I currently can't get a good consecutive run without the ecu pulling back on timing and dumping fuel.
