On Monday I am putting the Cobb tune on my car
So is the 493 wheel run a bone stock run?
Edit sorry looks like the picture in the other graph was stock/bolt on runs.
Then a question for Cobb instead...are your mustang dynos calibrated similarly from shop to shop? Those numbers seem low comparatively to your SoCal dyno numbers.

I will let you know about drivability tomorrow after I get the car back. It has to be trailered back to ATXAutosport to get buttoned back up. I had new front Pzeros put on and brake pads replaced as well while it was in. I should have it back tomorrow afternoon and go to Marion Friday evening. Will report back after that.

Yep, wondering how this thing is going to feel when I drive it. I think I might even get wheel slip at the dragstrip. I don't have R compound tires but I am hoping for sub 10.5 ET and I think I should see 135+ traps, maybe 140 with the hp increase. Course a lot depends on traction but all four tires are new.
Well today was fun. Spent the afternoon at Cobb Tuning at 2311 Rundberg Ln just about 5 miles from my house watching them dyno and tune my car. ATXAutosport had my car transported from their facility in S. Austin this morning and Eric at Cobb made a baseline run before lunch with the FVD module installed and in sport plus. Jason from ATX came over after lunch and removed all the FVD module connections and reverted the car to it's OEM configuration except for my bolt ons and Eric made a dyno run with that configuration in normal and sport plus modes. Those are shown in the second picture I have attached which is just a picture of the screen in the dyno room. In that picture, green is boltons only in sport pluse, blue is with the module on in normal and red is boltons in sport plus. After that the fun started and they applied Cobb Stage 1 for 91 gas and ran it in normal and sport mode. Performance improved noticably from there and then they put Cobb Stage 2 on for 93 gas where performance improved again. After that they made several runs with Jon applying custom tweaks for my car and the final results shown are the comparison between the FVD module in sport plus, Cobb Stage 1 in sport plus and Jon's custom tune for my car in sport plus which produced 525whp and 651 ftlb of torque. In the first graph green is the custom tune, blue is Cobb Stage 1 and red is FVD module in sport plus.
I am planning to go to Marion on Friday evening for a test and tune so should get some good quarter mile numbers to compare as well. Given the massive increase in torque, I expect to get better 60ft times and zero to 60 times which should produce some sub 10.5s ETs. I will post some pics and video of the dyno work later.

I've seen your COTA thread and I signed up for an event there end of May and will ship out my car and fly in. Can't wait...such an awesome track.
I am also going to see if I can set up front and back videos of my races. Should be fun.
What is the May event at COTA? I drive Edge Addicts events. There is also Chin Motorsports.
Great post. Your horsepower with Cobb Stage 2 is right about where my car was with GIAC Stage 2 and Europipe (525 vs 521.6). The torque number on the Cobb dynojet, at 651 lbs ft, is dramatically higher than my car was on either GIAC Stage 2 (515.74) or GIAC Stage 2+ (577.12). It will be fascinating to see if those superior torque numbers on the Cobb tuner translates in a real world drag or roll race.

Jon is also giving me a 100 octane map he made from the 93 map for my car so I will probably start with a 50/50 mix of Sunoco 104 and pump 93. Tomorrow night should be fun.
Yes the water sprayer will be a great idea. I would still run the car back to back a number of runs to see what the effect is on heats up. They are about 30 bucks on the Internet. I got a hand pump 1 gallon one from FlowMaster as pictured
Here is the actual dyno graph for the baseline configuration
The red graph is the FVD module in sport plus. The blue graph is bolt ons only in normal mode and the green is boltons in sport plus.
What I found interesting about this was how the ECU obviously intervened between 4500 and 5500 with the FVD module. I wasn't there when Eric made the run but he said you could hear it and yet I am not sure I have heard it before. I went back and listened to my COTA videos and I don't hear it. I can see it in the acceleration graph from a VBOX quarter I ran.
I calculated it's between 25 and 31mph but the Vbox shows it to be lower than that. I added the vbox graph.
