Turbo exhaust sound

Hello all.

Is the exhaust sound different between the Turbo and Turbo S models? In normal, sport and sport plus modes...

Also in both models does the sound changes from normal to the other modes as with PSE?

Regards.

There is no difference between S and non-S.

Unlike the PSE, there are no valves in the Turbo/S exhaust. It sounds the same regardless of mode OUTSIDE the car.

Inside the car, the Turbo/TurboS have a tube between the passenger compartment and the engine bay that opens in Sport and SportPlus and makes the sound louder in the cabin.

Oh, one more opinion... It feels like the car dumps more fuel off-throttle in Sport and SPortPlus, making for a lot of popping and gurgling on decel.

I'd actually pay for a tune with the fuel dumping eliminated/dialed back. I'm not a fan of that sound otherwise I would have bought a Jag F-type V8, which seems to make that sound 98% of the time its running. :-/

tubi catless exhaust sounds great. If i did not already buy the Tubi Catless i would have bought Akarpovikic, if it was available at the time it would have been my choice.

Yeah I agree about the popping kind of annoying. I like the car quiet and fast. The Huracan does the same thing kind of burbles when you back off the gas.

Our Supersport X-Pipe sounds awesome! Although it does pop and gurgle as most cars will but yes the 991 is pretty noticeable!

That is incorrect, according to the technical information on the 991 Turbo/Turbo S, the exhaust sound on the Turbo S is slightly louder than the Turbo in Sport/Sport+ mode.
