I signed up for the mojave magnum and its the same weekend so that sucks, but hey trying on breaking 200mph will be really fun. good luck hitting 9 second barrier a decent launch and you should get..

I'm done drag racing so I won't be there...although Jesse is a buddy of mine and I wish him well. Drag racing was never something I liked anyway but my friends literally "dragged" me there lol.

Maybe I'll join u Mark. A full mile sounds more my speed.

 

Thanks Adam, Jesse of Red List is the best! Promised I'd support his events as much as I could. We are on to the 9 sec. challenge. Not planning to focus on points or winning this time but who knows, I'm competitive to a fault. My wife complains that I won't even let my 6 year old son win at checkers. Also, killing that guy who just pulled a wheel stand on me is priceless!

Don't think I'll play the full mile game. Doing 176-180 mph in the half is not for the feint of heart. Gotta have Cojones the size of grapefruits. My good friend MB has proven beach *****. Good luck to you both!

my first speed run in my car was the 1 1/2 miles its pretty intense at 190 the last 1/2 mile went by in I think it was 8 seconds, and the runway is not like shift sector its really crappy. Ill go pro it this time

Yeah it's been full for about 3 weeks. Was going to go with my dad but it was too late. Couldn't do waiting list because I had to either commit or not.

 

Hi Mark. Do we need to wear a full race suit for this event? or we just need a race jacket?

 

Vincent, yes from 185mph to 205mph you need a full suit it can be a jump suit or jacket and pants you will also need

racing shoes
nomex socks
gloves
horse collar
Helmet

anything over 205 and you need a roll bar/cage, 5 point seat belts, hans device etc.

Look under the rules section it tells you exactly what you need for the speed you would like to go. If you dont get signed up for this event the next one is in October luckily its not the same weekend as Shift Sector. Good meeting you last weekend.
