but Jeff the 580hp is rwhp. In example the c7 Z06 is rated at 650hp and makes about 540-550rwhp. Therefore my car with 580rwhp is more like 670-680 horsepower and that's only on 8lbs of boost. My kit is capable of 14lbs. I can run 10lbs no problems but to run the full 14lbs I would do forged pistons first just to play it safe. Everything else on the C7 LT1 motor is already forged from the factory.
A stock 991 TTS is rated at 560hp I believe so it probably makes around 460-475awhp.

My C6 had 727 rwt and I knew the turbo would get a better launch but I thought I would catch the turbo way before the half but it wasn't even close. In fact it was UGLY! The NA half mile C5 record holder belongs to a friend of mine but the engine is mine. He has 700 plus rwt and can't touch the tts. The vette can't put all the power down at launch while the tts puts it all down at launch. It launches at 5600 rpm and with AWD, it's gone! Anyway, have fun and can't wait to hear about the results.

Dude, I do not know what type of tires and psi you guys are running, and what type of driving is being implemented. My C6Z with M/H dead hooks out of the hole; even with a little bit of NOS in 1st gear. She cuts 1.30's 60' times almost dead on consistent;no TTS thus far is cutting those quick 60's times and running loooow 9's....at least in the USA. But as you mentioned, your comments are based on your personal experience. I guess the same can be said for me, but I will never said that the TTS will trash a equally powered/prepped Vette at the drags. Vettes, for the most part are better for drag racing. Although, my C7Z Z07 pkg on TracKMode handles like a freaking beast. I don't think the TTS can touch it around the track with those Pirelli tires vs. the Z on those PPS cups as delivered from GM. I think the GT3 RS may be a better foe for such duties. IDK, I've never driven a new GT3 RS.
FYI, we just ran 9.93 in the 1/4 with my M7 CZ7 Z07 stage III aero pkg. Only three mods: my personal tuning, AFe CAI kit and an underdrive pulley...all else BONE FREAKING STOCK!!! Let's see a TTS run that [9's] with just a CAI kit, tuning and exhaust...all else stock.

I like the new Z, but I may flip it for cash. Not sure yet.
I purchased it used with 1,100 or so miles from a guy who ran into some bad luck financially. So, I'll play with it for now and then test the For Sale market later. If it works out, I'll use the cash and buy an F10 M5 again. I had an early '13 model and sold it after 6mons...the car had some 1st quirks...at least the one I had. I will keep my C6Z...it's the racing toy; much easier and cheaper to maintain vs. the 991 TTS.

I like the wide body on the C6 much more than the C7. The C7 looks fairly exotic to me and I prefer the sleeker body. That's why I ended up going stingray with ecs kit as oposed to the z06.
I drove the new M5. The turbos and that car are a great match. Such a luxurious beast. Great car. I hope to be able to get a 997 turbo s someday. Good luck with the swap e gear.

I liked my M5 but alas, it ran into reliability issues. So far the Pcar is way more reliable. I prefer the RR Sport SC to the M5 since I have the Pcar for performance and the CTTS for lux and speed.

I'm talking half mile events. No prepared tracks etc...they defiantly have a higher trap speed but I have beaten them. In fact, the guys I know say, howly crap! Those are some fast Porsche's! There isn't hardly anything I can't run down in a half but I can't catch yours. I hope to run very low 9's and quite possibly an 8 sec 991 when it returns from BBI. However, this is the goal but we will have to play with the setup and see what we can really do vice what's on paper...
Hey guys, my friend has a 15 Turbo S with a flash tune (I think it's a GIAC) with intercoolers and exhaust. We will be running against each other at ATCO in about a month for some fun and a small bet. How fast would you expect a turbo S with those mods to run the quarter??
For comparison my car is a 15 Stingray Z51 with longtube headers and an ECS Supercharger kit. On low boost 7lbs it makes 580/560. I have an auto 8 speed and in track mode it upshifts extremely fast. He is on Cup 2's and I will be on MT ET street drag radials.
How do you guys think this will play out? I plan to record it and post it up later in this thread. This is all in friendly fun and I love the 911 turbo. One of my favorite cars and I hope to own one someday. Few quick pics of the enemy lol
