Is this common?
305 miles. Drove it a total of 4 times.
Got underneath it to check things out today and found a decent seepage out of the oil drain plug.
How common is this? It was tight, I put an extra 1/4 turn on it for good measures and cleaned everything up.
Had the dealer do an oil change on it prior to delivery because it had sat for a few months on their lot. Maybe they didn't tighten it up properly? O'ring gone bad if it takes one? Over tightened?

Oil leak from the drain is not unknown. The most common reason is the car is serviced by an owner or a tech who doesn't understand the importance of replacing the oil drain plug sealing ring every time or not replacing any o-rings, for instance the one used for the filter housing, at least on the older style engines.
I am pretty sure the dealer tech replaced the sealing ring. However, if at prior services the sealing ring was reused this can compromise the sealing surface of where the sealing ring seals the drain plug to the pan drain hole and oil seepage can occur.
The only way to know for sure this is going on would be to carefully inspect the engine for any sign the leak is coming from above. If the oil leak sign is found to be limited to the immediate vicinity of the oil drain plug then the oil drain plug should be removed and a careful inspection made of both the drain plug and the oil pan.
If the sealing surface of the oil drain plug is compromised a new drain plug and new sealing ring should have the seepage gone.
However, if the sealing surface at the oil drain pan is compromised to address this then requires a new drain pan.
I woud not have just added a quarter turn to the oil drain plug. If it was properly tightened before it could be overtightened now.

It was a damaged crushed O'Ring. They replaced it, topped off the oil at no charge to me. I would say Thank you Porsche Of Central Austin and my service advisor who is a true car guy, Chase.

buy some extra ones on ebay or Suncoast along with filters, that way any quick change oil guy can stop you leak. no need to go to stealership for oil change too. buy your own mobil 1 , 6 1/2 qts add max and check level after driving. 20 min and save $100 min.

One of the reasons I decided to go back and buy this car is because I didn't want to do anything to it myself.
I enjoy working on cars more than words can describe but my injuries in service have gotten the best of me. For now, I'll enjoy driving it and let the dealer do the work. With little miles I'll put, it would be an oil change once a year so not too bad.
