918 goes 9.7 @ 145 with no prep at The Red List
I know some have goals of beating the 918 with our modded 991's (in the US) but without a big shot of nitrous or big turbos it's going to be tough.
Without any prep in street trim (91 octane and stock tires) a 918 posted these numbers yesterday at TheRedList Famoso Dragway in Bakersfield CA.
Conditions were good from what I hear (cooler than normal day with very high air pressure) causing low DA with a tailwind. But still nothing like the negative 1,500 DA and strong tailwinds we had at the last RedList event earlier this year.
Really wonder what the 918 could do with some prep like a rear DRs or even R888 with lower tire pressure and some 93 or even higher octane gas in negative DA conditions. 9.4X maybe? Maybe Jeff can give this a shot to see how far someone can take the 918.

Agree different conditions but still NHRA. My buddies said nice tail winds and high pressure (low DA) yesterday at famoso so I'm sure conditions were a lot better than Jeff's conditions.
I will look it up again but I found a better tire for the 918 online last week. Can't remember what brand but will look it up shortly. Not really much you can do to the 918 as it has 90 computers and multiple clutches. I'm guessing meth (2 kits) and maybe nitrous. However, warranty and vehicle value will be a concern.

"worlds fastest 918" for those with the money to burn on an item like this might be a selling point.
Jeff don't run the sport maxx it's a track tire it will get worse traction than stock you have no way to get heat in that tire at a drag strip with either of your cars
Mark, Good to know...it would be nice to get 888's in that size
It will be in our stock in about 2 weeks.
I will test on our car here, will keep you updated
