In what is a record for me, I dropped off my McLaren 570S this morning (2 months after picking it up) and drove home in a new 650S Spider. The 570S is an amazing car. Wanted to get that extra half-step in performance and have the ability to drop the top from time to time. I have never had a convertible, so it is a first for me.

More to come - including Atco in October and Lime Rock next week.

Thanks, guys. Just realized that the tire warmers I bought for my 991 TT will fit on this car. Assuming I can fit everything in the car, going to try to run a 10.1 stock in November on stock rubber at Atco.

Thanks! I drove it from the dealer to my garage. Quick impressions - 570S requires much lighter steering effort. 650 feels more substantial. I think the view out the front is better in the 650. The hydraulic suspension of the 650 soaks up road imperfections. You don't feel road cracks in your seat. 650 is faster, but not by much. It seems to build boost more quickly at speed. 650 has ***** on the door panel for the air/heat which is MUCH better than having to go through the iris system to navigate it.

Need a few days with it driving into the office to see how it compares. Radar/laser diffuser going in tomorrow.

I have a 2015 McLaren 650S Spider and absolutely love it. I did a full iPe exhaust with catless downpipes and an ECU Tuning Group tune with a more aggressive tune because of the catless downpipes and I have to tell you... This car is absolutely ****ing bananas!
