Wrapping a Turbo Cab to Change Color?

My weeklong quest for a White Turbo S Cab has not yielded any "perfect" cars just yet. I just started considering the idea of buying another color (the 2 most prevalent colors seem to be black and gray) and wrapping it with white vinyl, which I have seen done on a handful of other exotics.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this, and if you have any feedback. I would especially love to do a satin / matte wrap, but I hear they are a B**CH to take care of.

I've seen photos of one around here. Not white, but another wrap.

You have the same problem I had. I was driving a 2009 turbo cabriolet that I found on the CPO site. Bought it at Paul Miller in New Jersey. I had it shipped back to Chicago. When the new 991 came out I waited a year to make sure all the issues were worked out then I looked for a used turbo s cabriolet with no luck for months. I ended up ordering a new custom turbo s cariolet from the factory with all the stuff I wanted but I lost 20K the first year and another 20K this year. I thought about wrapping a grey or black with the white but I was afraid of not getting what I wantd and spending over 150K. Whenever Im out in my car I get people always wanting to check out my car because of the white with tan inetrior and the fact that it is a turbo s. Good luck on your search!

I personally think it's wise to wrap the car anyways (transparent in my case).

The strange and different car care that's necessary with matte paint is probably *at least* whats required for a matte wrap. I don't have the time or appetite for it. That eggshell white V10 plus R8 I've seen maaaaaaay be worth it, but I can't even keep my car clean in the first place. Dirty matte paint probably looks like sh*t.
