Early morning test rip..

I finally got out on my private highway for a couple early morning test runs with the hardware and tune from Sam..I wanted to go back to the track that I benchmarked at but the insurance thing is becoming an issue..(topic for another day)

Anyways at the track stock but stage 1 Sam tune and worn out Pirellis Tom (moniker Turbo Tom courtesy of my youngest daughter) ran 11.02/11.06/11.07

This early 6:00 am sun coming up ..dew still standing..

Stage 2 Sam 100 octane tune / Kline inconel catless / Kline headers / new Michelin / 100% race fuel..100 octane / 2700 DA

results with vbox sport 0-60 2.99s / 10.68 @ 130.9 slight spin /stutter
0-60 2.79s / 10.58 @ 129.9

I feel the grin widening..I data logged the runs and sent to Sam..his prompt reply stated he figures there's a little more in the box...I see a pair of ic's and stage 3 possibly before the snow flies

Nice.

Just put the headers on myself today (I'll try and see if I have all the pics for a how-to) so as to complete the same Sam/BD package you have. New Michelins go on next week (though my sizes are slightly different; 325/25 and 255/30).

I've got a Vbox so we'll see if my numbers come out similar. Do you plan to dyno?

Awesome G 1/2 second! After you send that other log I will have a couple maps over to you for a couple different purposes. It's really hard to tell exactly how much from the track to the street using the box but you're headed in the right direction!

How does she sound? Response and feel driving around town?

Good deal brotha...keep testing and re-testing.

That is the beauty of dataloging...you can see right then what the car is doing and adjust for best performance with safety.

Then, as time a weather allows, go to the track and bust out some looow 10's.

I am curious to hear how you guys are liking those MPSS tires vs. the Pirelli tires

So far I am having great luck with them, but I know how well the Michelin tires work on my Z06 (track and street).

Thanks,
E-Gear

The sound is great..very subdued on the quieter side (just how I wanted) and civilized under normal..sport is moderately agressive depending on how you roll...then sport + is gnarly and Mary "Poppins"
With the tune everything is sooo much smoother...smoother delivery and even the shifting appears more coherent...a big plus all around..

I've got to do a write-up on mine when I have a few minutes, but the headers actually made the car slightly quieter and more subdued during part-throttle, under 2500 rpm driving. Certainly less "rumbly". More V-6, less H-6.

The response and power is nice, but its a bit less 911 than before
