So i know that one of the 1st mods i needed to do was swap the orange side markers with clear. I ordered a set from Suncoast after they confirmed their markers will fit. Question i have is that i see a LOT of 991.2 TTS that have the clears. Have they made this mod or do the cars now come with clears. Any info would be appreciated.

 

Mine came with LED orange ones.

Clear corners as it's called is a pretty standard dealer freebie mod so that's why you see so many of them.

 

I just bought a 991.2 TTS yesterday and it had orange markers at the dealer. But they switched them out for me when I asked to the clear ones. So the car 100% for certain came with orange, to answer your question.

No charge, per say...part of the deal on buying the car. But the lights are like $150 +/- from Suncoast or any dealer and are like a 10 minute install.

 

I bought a 997.2 Turbo S years back and my first mod was to swap the orange side markers.

Now I have the 997.2 and a 911 both ***** out - you need to be careful modding these cars it's addictive

 

You see them commonly because in the rest of the world outside the USA, they come with the clears from the factory. They come with orange here in the US due to our laws, but we can swap them out for the "euro" part.

 

Funny thing, I like the orange, especially on the night blue metallic I'm awaiting....
