Unfortunately there really isn't anything much better at this time..until it gets some needed upgrades (or Stinger gets its act together), and one wants to utilize ALP it's the best pairing option.....
Actually there are several products which are better. The Stinger since the recent software update. The Radenso HD+. In addition the new Escort which will be released in March is likely to be better because we know their detectors have better range than Net Radar, and their new digital detectors also have effective filtering

Well time will tell with the Escort,,,testing will still need to be done on their laser jamming and Escort has never been stellar with laser updates....I had their RX..
I have the Stinger and ALP/Net in my TTS but have not been driving it since the Stinger updates although it does sound promising..
Rodenso I know nothing of but the last review Vortex did advise of good results..
It's such a volatile technology...I still have my fingers crossed Stinger will eventually refine their product..
In any event I need something that defends against the Dragon..f/r..that is the revenue king around here.

True on laser, but Escort has generally been very good with Radar. A lot of people run an Escort detector with an ALP jammer

I vow I will not buy another device except of...well..maybe a Radenso and maybe the new Escort system to combine with an ALP..

I currently have/run..1-V1 /1-Bel STiR+ /ALP,,14 heads in 3systems /1- Net Radar /1-Stinger radar/3 9500ix's /..why not add a couple more ...I'm a confessed tech junkie

I was able to get one for $500 new on Amazon but it's one of the 79xxx serial numbers which are the older ones. The newer ones start with 85xxx and have a better bluetooth chip. I don't use it with bluetooth so don't notice a difference. I updated the unit from their site using the cable they recommend. I notice a lot less falses in traffic and it does have better discrimination with the arrows which help. As compared to the passport max it's much better but bigger. The new mount works well.

However, the built in equivalent is just out and is $3000 just for the front setup and if you want radar on the back along with laser shifters, it's more expensive but they didn't even have that price at the place I found the Max Ci. The big selling point for the Max Ci is that it can stop Dragon Eye.

Renewing an old thread. After having an Escort Passport 9500 Ci for years and then later upgrading the laser jammer piece to AL Priority four years ago, I finally upgraded again this year with an entirely new AL Priority radar and laser jamming system. It seems to work well so far and the X band filter works great. The unit is much quieter than the 9500 Ci (less false alerts) and each time I do receive an alert, I have found the cop. So far, I give it two thumbs up.

Where do you have your laser sensors in the front and rear? Recommendation is 3 in front and no TX in front. Does the latter mean you do not have DragonEye protection?
Do you use front and rear radar?
Thanks

The most recent ALP offering is an exclusive TX head to be used in conjunction with 2 TX/RX std sensors...works the charm against our local high use DragonEye..I did not update my TurboS with the newer RX/TX TX RX/TX config as the car is fairly frontal stealthy as currently configured...I did exchange one of the two older RX/TX in the read with the new TX only do I run a RX/TX and TX read now and I upgraded my ML63 with the one each of the new RX only heads both front and rear...We have extensive rear photo laser here so having the newer RX only in at least the rear is most important...

Here on the rear is the new setup.I installed the TX only left and RX/TX right...the benefit of the new TX only is it transmits both x and y axis so ideal for those pesky overpass Leos

Here is my ML center config where I added an RX only sitting over a past unused TX/RX sensor with a far left RX/TX and far right RX/TX

And here a combo TX left and TX/RX right shown

Thank you for your quick and extensive reply. I have read that you cannot use the TX on the front of the Porsche because if you mount them too low you get interference from the road. Do you know anything about that? If you look at AL Priority USA’s web site (picture of the senser placements on the 911) they recommend 3 regular sensors on the front, and the TX only in the back.
“The TX head should be mounted towards the center of the vehicle at least 20″ above the ground to prevent reflections off the road from coming back into the normal heads.” (https://www.vortexradar.com/2017/08/...ye-lidar-guns/)

Yes correct..the TX only head must be higher than "x" inches to avoid feedback to the RX sensors which is why I do not have a TX on my front

3 regular heads is enough to jam any Dragon out today. The TX head is only needed when you can only have 2 heads like in the rear.

Thanks
A highly rated installer on Long Island i.e., Detailing Dynamics installed it. They do great work on cars that make mine look like a Passat. I've seen any car you can name in that shop. The radar detector is under where the license plate would be in the front. Two laser heads in front are just inside the headlights but below (have to take pics). All of these are within the front spoiler. The rear laser jammers are at the top left and right corners of my rear license plate. The buttons for the unit are hidden in with the lighter. Great job Eddie and his team!
