Today I went to a private exotic car quarter mie drag race at a 3,000 foot runway and finally, got to try out my Champion 68mm VTG Turbo Upgrade with race gas (Sunoco GT 260 Plus) and my new rear R888s. Wow! Between the R888s and the Turbo upgrade with race gas the performance was in a complete different universe than on Stage 2+ with stock turbos, race gas and regular summer tires.

The car finally hooked every time on launch and accelerated like I have never felt before. There was no timing by but the 1/4 flag my speedo indicated 140 mph -- 10 mph faster than I have ever done on that runway with my car.

I had 9 races. I won all of them except against a 1000 plus hp Jeep on high boost that was towed to the event and during the race I lost to him was making a very loud whooshing sound which I thought was supplemental fueling.

As the attached videos show the margins of victory were massive. Thank you Tom and Champion!!!

While she is no competition for your beast for a bolt on setup her quickness and speed were just astonishing. Felt like a completely different car than before turbos and R888s. Never saw the 130s on the speedo at the flag and now 140!!

And of course drove her home like any daily driver. She had the turbos on during the Corsa Dragon rally in April and performed like a champ.

That Jeep!!!???!!! Wow. It did get the hit and you reeled it in first gear but looks like it pulled from there. How much further ahead was he at the finish line?

Nice job getting the car to hook up.

So did the Veyron race the Jeep?

Yeah the jeep was pretty amazing. It was definitely spring nitrous I could hear it in the minute he started spraying he pulled ahead on the second run. Yes I pulled just about even with them and then suddenly the jeep leaps forward which is clearly when the nitrous spring began. By the quarter-mile flag he was about a car length in front of me

There was definitely sandbagging going on. He claimed he wanted a rematch after I beat him pretty badly on the first run just because he got a bad start the first run but he clearly turned it way up and people saw him am playing around with something in the rear seats between runs and the sound of nitrous was on mistakable on the second run. And his rear windows are blacked out so you can't see with behind them

I am not sure if the jeep went up against the Veyron

Thanks! I wish some of the ByDesign modded 991 Turbos were there as that would have made it much more fun for me as there was no competition other than a few event cars (Alpha 12x GTRs and the awesome 1300 wheel HP jeep)

Right Now the status is that GIAC does have tunes for the 991.2 cars but it requires bench flashing (the removal of the ECU and shipment to GIAC for the flash). I understand that while Cobb does not yet have a tune for the 991.2s they are hard at work on one.
