And BTW - if you have the glorious GT3 you have the dubious honor of new plugs every 12,000 miles.

At 20,000 miles it becomes much more realistic as a preventative maintenance. If the car is upgraded I would do it for sure at 20. As for the coils I have been monitoring and changing them periodically they seem to be quite robust and it’s not necessary unless they fail. They are basically good until they’re not as in an isolated part failure which does happen but much better than the previous generation cars. At the same time they are pretty inexpensive so it’s not about peace of mind.
Thanks Sam. I figured they are fine but cheap enough for 280 bucks to just replace them while getting the plugs done.

Can anyone comment on the difficulty of replacing spark plugs? And/or labor hours a dealer may charge? I wonder if it is as difficult as on the 997 Turbo's

without a lift it just wasn’t worth doing for me. I’m sure Sam can weigh in here. It is supposed to be easier than the 997. I got charged 4.5 hours to do plugs, coils And serpentine belt at 189/hour. Belt and coils were overkill at 21k on the clock but parts were cheap enough while getting work done at the 4 year mark.
