Hey guys, sold the Mclaren, and got back into a Porsche Turbo S... just arrived last night from the dealer and didn’t a chance to take hardly any pics. It’s like every other Porsche I’ve owned, solid and stable. I’ll hopefully be in here a bit more posting threads (useful threads hopefully) and seeing what everyone else is doing to their cars.
I’ve had 3... a 650S and two 570S’s. One coupe, and my last one was a Spyder. Not really easily compared. Mclaren’s are so fast, so comfortable, and so “exotic” by comparison, Porsche’s are so fast, not so comfortable, and muted in style. It’s honestly personal tastes but I love both. I’ve had two turbo Porsche’s, a GT3, and 3 different Macs.... love each one for different reasons.
I completely know this didn’t answer your questions, but you’d have to ask a specific question for me to compare their strongpoints. Also, I’m familiar with Sam, thank you for your opinion on his expertise as well.
What type of deal were you able to get? The .2's seem to be all over the place....
This car kinda fell out of the sky... I wasn’t necessarily in the market for a new car, so I wouldn’t say I got a killer deal, but I’d call it fair all things considered. I realize that was a political answer to your question, but I’d rather not divulge actual costs on cars as each persons deals are different.
Not surprising, welcome back to the 911 turbo. The long term benchmark for the perfect car (that's not a cliche), position it took for the last 40+ years, and for the 40 upfront.
Pretty and classic spec car !
