Hi all, I just sold my 996 Turbo, which was purchased new 18 years ago and took the giant leap to a 991.2 Turbo S! I am really enjoying the change and looking forward to the modding process and participating on this forum. It's a GT silver with bordeaux/black interior, 208k build. It has just about everything for options and is in mint condition. Since I have unlimited access to the car now, I will be working on testing some innovative new exhaust options over the next few months, as well, same as we did with the 996tt platform. Took it for a 300 mile mountain run yesterday and it was so nice! These cars have come a long way! Here are a few pictures.
Congrats John! Sport mirrors, black headlights, red interior are a MUST! 991.2 platform is my favorite 911. I recently ordered a '21 Cayenne GTS with Bordeaux red interior.

Thanks, Guys....it's great to experience the upgraded platform. I'm ready.
Congrat! this one has a rare option you hardly see, that's the regular non panoramic sunroof (every one just went for the glass roof if they take a sunroof), what's the roof line on it? same alcantara or something more durable ? will be glad to see. enjoy!

Thanks, Sam. I loved the 996TT, but this year for some reason it seemed a little "been there, done that", so it felt like the time to upgrade. I ended up putting 158,000 miles on that 996TT!
How is the market for 996 now in general and turbo in particular? 996 are really starting to pick up now. 158K miles is a lot! but cool its one owner car
The market seems pretty strong. I got well over what would be expected for a 158,000 mile car, but the car was cosmetically perfect and dialed in with great power mods. It showed like new, had GT2 front and rear body, OEM GT3 seats, Techequipment roll bar, upgraded turbos, dual fuel pumps, injectors, full intake/intercooler system, PSS-10, Protomotive twin disc clutch, etc. basically every bolt on possible. The car ran 11.0 @134, strong for a 996TT. But all that said, I had a local person with an outstanding offer to buy whenever I was done with it and they understood the value of the mods, so it was an easy sell.
Well done, That's the way i think a Porsche should be held.. this is a car for years that should be replace only when a great leap forward is presented (usually doesn't happen in one car generation, at least 1.5/2 generations apart). I know this guy owned 996 turbo since new 2004, and replaced it with an heritage speedster last year.
I held a base cayman for 7 years then jumped to 991.2 TTS which will go only for 992.2 GT2RS, no dare
BTW, this 996 GT2 sound like insanity.

I just purchased a very similar spec car. In Fact, I think I may have looked at this very one also during my search. Does this car have approx. 40K miles on it??
My car has a $205K MSRP, but I remember looking at one that had a 208k msrp..
