My dealer was not quite sure but the consensus seems to be that the first arriving in feb will be 2012 MY.

The new car sounds like it will be great but that is so much more money then the 997.2 C2S I had. My car was 103k and had just about all the options. I would suggest getting an aftermarket exhaust with 3rd muffler delete for about 3k instead of the factory one. And as others mentioned I would get the PDCC and PTV if they offer it.
Enjoy it!

Nice build, congrats! I would certainly add PDCC. DEM comes w/SC.

Why no dynamic chassis with your pasm? I did opt for that. I figure if I am getting a new gen car it should have most of the key performance improvements.

Smart move - I believe that in a 911 it will be hard to tell the difference between one with or without unless pushed to the edge - 95% of my driving is also city/highway. On the Cayenne it was very noticeable when we tested one with and without.

I have to discount it to death to move it - we don't like to show losses on our cars. 8 years ago when the 997 was released people flocked to buy up the 996s but we are not seeing that trend with the 997".
The excitement will quickly wane for some when faced with the 991's price of admission. I like the new car but also believe the 997 prices will firm up a bit.

My dealer still can not confirmed the production schedule
The only information she gave me recently is those exclusive options are only available for production in May 2012.

I ordered the sport design steering wheel on my base car for I think about $260. I was certainly not over $400. Are the options more expensive on the S?

My order invoice also has this:

840 SportDesign steering wheel 490.00

Weird. I might ask about it...but maybe the 'official' options list/invoice combines things and their costs a bit differently than shown in the configurator. My final price from the configurator DID match the final price on the official invoice, to the penny. We used that to triple-check that we had left nothing out.

The steering wheels price change if you have PDK. It's the same with the SC package. Things seem to cost more when you select PDK.
