I spoke with my dealer today and they still don't know when they are going to be able to order me a base Carrera.

Has anyone who placed their order for the Base model actually receive a Build date yet ?

 

I've had the same issue. My dealer told me that no base Carreras will be built until March, but even still they cannot get confirmation of an actual allocation or build date. So, I have given up and have ordered an S.

 

They gave me 3/23 but order isn't "locked"......I think it's confirmed

 

nothing here either, i saw one of the tests online they were driving a base, but ive been told the engine situation isn't settled yet..

making me think about just getting a super simple "S" model... but same time thats quite a bit more.

 

I have a 3/22 date for a Base 7 speed manual.

 

I had a confirmed and locked 3/23 date of Manufacture (South America Region) , had second thoughts about the base model and let it go. Dealer had no trouble to relocate it, Now waiting for an April/May allocation for an "S"

 

so crappy, late march build, late april delivery for a 2012 when the 2013 is august... 3 months and we'll have "last years vehicle"
