I went by the local deal in Chapel Hill, NC today and they had two launch cars. A flat black one and an agate grey one.
First impressions:
- The rear of the car looks great - the front looks OK
- The Interior has definitely been upgraded - i still think the full leather is the way to go
- The car overall looks 'smoother' and more aerodynamically correct - definitely a more modern car.
Key things that i looked for were:
- Standard rims look too simple on the car - i suggest upgrading to the other options
- The alcantera on the front pilars only come when you have the full leather; without full leather its a nice quality plastic
- the clock on top of the dash is only available if you get the sports chrono - reasons for me to add that
- The Agate grey is very boring - especially with cloudy and grey weather

Thanks for the heads-up 9114S2. After reading your post, I drove over to sit in it and I echo your thoughts. Very modern, incredibly nice interior- wow. I agree that the back end looks better in person. I think it looks bigger than it is because the belt line is higher with shorter side windows. The plastic dash and door panels are a definite improvement but I ordered full leather anyway. I personally like the Carrera S wheels but wish they were 19"s not 20's. The brakes do look smaller. I think Porsche is doing the right thing moving more upscale with a $100k + sports car.
