I just picked up these wheels for my 2014 991 TTS
Hello. I live in Chicago and want my 2014 991 TTS to be as much of a DD as possible. I will have a car seat in the back for my 2 year old (which car seat is yet to be determined).
I wanted to get a set of wheels and tires, instead of swapping tires every summer/winter season.
My current wheels are 20" Turbo S Center Lock, but in the standard Silver finish.
I found what I think it is a great deal here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Porsche-O...cee5a1&vxp=mtr
The front wheels are the exact same fitment.
The rears, while mine have a offset of 56, the ones of the 991 C4 GTS have an offset of 48 (which mean a more aggressive stance) and more flush without coming out of the fender...at least that in my interpretations.
The guys at TAG were very helpful and have told me that HRE's that are going on Turbo S have a similar fitment fitting more flush with the fender over the stock OEM 20's.
I hope everything works out...I like that these are black. I will be running these as my summer wheels and changing out the tires on my stock OEM 20's to a 245/295 Michelin PA4 setup.
Anyone have any comments on the above - Thank you.
Here are the part #'s of the 991 C4 GTS Wheels:
Front - 20 x 9 ET51 Part Number- 991 362 162 34 JE1
Rear - 20 x 11.5 ET48 Part Number- 991 362 167 35 JE1

The Turbo body is wider than that GTS body. How would they be a more aggressive stance? Are you going to be running spacers in the rear?
Lunarx usually is good about weighing in on wheels and tire options.

I will try to find Lunarx and send a PM. Thanks.

If you existing wheels are, 11.5" 56mm w/ 305-30-20;
Then the new wheels, 11.5" 48mm w/ 305-30-20;
will stick out 0.32" [8mm] more than your existing wheels.
Unless you think your car is borderline aggressive now, you should be able to run the 48mm wheels.
Those wheels seem like a great deal, so you probably don't want to miss out.
I will add that it's good you are using the more aggressive wheel for summer use and the less aggressive for winter.
Gives you more clearance for snow packing on the tires in winter.

that being said, if the C4 GTS and the TTS are both wide body and the same wide body, why the difference in the offset?
I do not want the wheels to stick out past the fenders...posting some pics of my stock setup now with the rears being offset 56.

My tastes are more conservative than others.
I think your car looks real good now (with 56mm wheels).
I could see wanting another 5mm, so 8mm will make it aggressive.
However, the only part of the tire, to stick out, will be the sidewall (and just barely).
The edges of the tread, will be well under the fender lip.
Most people would like like the more aggressive look of the 48mm wheel.
I think it's within the range, that if you do feel it sticks out too much, you can dial in some extra camber to help the tire tuck in better.
I would love to see pics once you get them on.
My bet is that you will like them.
The real danger is that you will think the front is too conservative by comparison

Jeff - I want two sets of wheels, hence buying these. If I feel the offset is too aggressive, I can let you know and you can buy these wheels in question. Let me know. They are a great deal from TAG Motorsports - got them for $4500 shipped with the tires, etc.
