Probably with the 2014 model year. We have a ways to go on that.

Man, nobody knows. It hasn't been announced and won't for a couple years. Of course it's a flat 6.

Historically, Porsche has skipped one year before releasing the next generation. With that said, I'd expect to see a MY 2013 released early 2013. It seems too soon, but I don't see them skipping two MYs and don't see them waiting until mid 2013 for a MY2013.

996: 2004 was the first year/2005 was last, 997.1: 2007 was the first model year/2008 last, .2s: 2010 first and 2011 last.

My guess is 80-100 lbs lighter, 465-475 hp flat six with a $130k MSRP for a decently, but not excessively, equipped one, sans PDK. (If PDK is available, add to the price accordingly.)

Historic standards do not always apply of course, but it's anyones guess. Same with the turbo, except that PAG is producing those through 2012, so I'd add a year; MY 2014, released late mid -late 2013.

My best guess is that the trend is for faster-and-faster. There are plenty of 911 variants down the pike in the 991, so I'd expect 1 or 2 per model year. I have no doubt it would be a MY 2013 and the only question is when they release specs and start taking orders. I'm going with September-ish...
