If you don't like it, you can just take them off by hand. According to National Geographic's Ultimate Factories, those scripts are stickers put on by hand.

Front Porsche crest is put on by screws though.... so there will be hole(s)...

Sounds like 2 nice features for the price of 1 ... still though for me it's just something I'd never use.

And the front ornament is recessed into the trunk lid.

We had our unveiling today (official)

Here is the hood ornament indentation/embossing that I (and ChuckJ) mentioned before. You can tell here how the metal (silver) hood is recessed to allow the shield the be inset. Historically the Carrera GT is the only Porsche that has had this effect. (fairly certain the GT is the only - I know the GT had it)

I was thinking of this since my post and I wanted to tell others that if you are getting the folding mirrors because of the lights in the mirrors and you are also getting the keyless option you might want to reconsider.

The reason why unless Porsche is programming the lights to come on as you approach the car you are not going to ever see the lights come on.

When you go to your car you are going to reach for the door handle to unlock it and then get in ... this light approach feature will never actually go on unless you use your keys to unlock the car first.

If they fold manually, which almost all of them do, you can always tuck them in when parked on the street. I've seen several instances of careless drivers getting too close and only the mirror gets it. Also, depending on where you park, there are those kamikaze bicycle riders to watch out for...

Other models had the recessed emblem, but it is not common. For one, I think some early 968s had it.
