Figured I'd put this out there for those curious or shopping for this car. Tom from Champion just mentioned this in another thread but IMO it's worth discussing.

So Porsche thought that THIS was a good idea in their haste to bury the engine under that new deck lid?

A little much IMO...

Andyuk9112 is infamous around these parts
Fab picture, and I had guessed this would be the case with a 991 ..

Do you mind if I post this on a Pistonheads ?

I don't get it. This seems absurd. Removing a bumper for such things is a bad idea. It can be scratched or not put back in place just right. Perhaps these are "lifetime" filters if there is such a thing but it doesn't appear to be well thought out.

Maybe the airbox is technically behind the bumper but maybe the bumper is further back so that there will be room for a hand to get the box lid open to allow for replacement. Maybe there are some cam locks on the bumper that would allow for easy on and off. I fear that none are the case though.

Per Tom @ Champion you do have to remove the bumper. At the end of the day it may not be as big a deal for people that drive their car on weekends but for DD's it's going to be a major PITA/cost.

Then so sure this will be a HUGE PITA. I will so bold to day that if some buyers knew this prior to purchase they would not end up buying the car. I wonder what the total charge would be to have the dealer replace the air filters.

Andy, the pic is property of Champion so you'd have to ask Tom.
