Getting ready for the track - part 1
Wanted to find a safe way to attach my GoPro to the car and found a nice aluminum GoPro tow hook mount. I had to buy a hook together with it which I hope will never need to be used
Should get everything delivered by Friday...

Are you happy with the front lip PASM spoiler? I'm on the fence as to whether I like it or not. In person it definitely adds to the aggressiveness but I'm not sure if it will look out of place on the cab with standard ride height.
I do not think that the cab's standard height will be any different so you should be good IMO.
Have a clearbra/speed film on the car and very happy with it too: perfectly clear, good protection.
K40 and clear bra
Thanks SM_ATL. What I have read so far about radar detectors and Laser Jammers is so all over the map, one would think they were dealing with Congress. I will look into it further. The clear bra sounds like a yes. While I am on the subject, do you use LoJack or some other vehicle locating device - stolen cars is a real issue here in NJ.
I look forward to your answer - and any other sage advice from you or others on this thread - Thanks for the great pictures.

This is so true. It seems especially prevalent with the K40 brand.

LoJack is a reasonable value for money in my opinion. It can be defeated, but it all depends whether you are dealing pro's or amateurs/kids taking the car for a joyride....
Do you have anything specific on this brand - both the dealer and a well regarded detailer/installer here in NJ (All in the Details) recommended it. Is there anything authoritative on testing radar and jammers - consumer reports, anything? Before plunking down 2K, I would like to know it will give me a fighting chance.
Thanks again to everyone for the advice?

Getting ready for the track - Part 2
Went for a pre-track inspection today at a new (for me) shop: Freed Performance in Cumming, GA: http://www.freedperformance.com/. Sean Freed who runs the place has spent several years in a Porsche dealership and is a friendly no-nonsense guy who knows what he is talking about. I'll surely be back for future performance upgrades.
The 991 was in good company with a few ancestors (some of them in need of some serious restoration work):

We put the car on the lift for the inspection which gave me the opportunity to get a closer look at the 991's underpinnings:

A nice detail, the air duct that really guides air from under the car to the rear brakes rotor:

The Sport Exhaust flaps system:

I did not expect to find anything significant during the inspection... but it turned out that a tire had to be replaced. This was so shocking, that I'll explain the story in a separate post

Not this time, but as you can see from one of the previous pics, it is a rather simple setup.
