Well done. Mine goes into production end of the month, delivery before Christmas but I will have it compliance plated in the new year.

Did you go through the Canberra dealer or a Sydney dealer?

I have to admit I am getting a bit nervous about the platinum wheels ... I have never been keen on dark wheels but thought this time I will do something different and make the car look unique ....

It took a long time putting this order through ,, I researched a lot on line and I am happy with my final decision after a lot and a lo of changes .. The only thing that I a no sure about till now is the platinum whhels ! Have to wait until I get the car
Your car is going to be superb and I'm sure you will be please with the platinum wheels. Congratulations !

Nice, but why black dials? The S comes with grey, while the base comes with black... wouldn't you want to keep the distinction?

My final Order

White
Carrera s
PDK sports chrono sport exhaust
Full black leather
Chrono clock in white
Rpm dial in black
Parking sensors
Folding mirrors
Privacy glass
Metal sun roof
Porsche crest on head rests
911 badge on the back
Burmeister sound system

It took a long time putting this order through ,, I researched a lot on line and I am happy with my final decision after a lot and a lo of changes .. The only thing that I a no sure about till now is the platinum whhels ! Have to wait until I get the car
I think you should get all your dials in white if you're getting the clock in white. Would look really sharp.
Oh and don't worry, white with platinum wheels is one of the best combos out there. I went a little riskier with platinum wheels on dark blue metallic. Should still look great though! It'll arrive in November. I'll post a lot of pics showing the combo.

Thanks guys for your comments

I thought a white clock will be a feature that matches the exterior white and the white keys!

A dealer in sydney suggested that i get the rpm dial in black so every thing will be black and the clock in white... again making the car a bit different

I spotted a pic of a red 991 with red clock and thats what inspired me to do it with white!

My only current worry is the platinum wheels that i have ordered.. i will be devastated if i dont like them after all my hard work.

i hope they wont look like the carrera s wheels with brake dust on them!

Not at all, they look gorgeous! I've seen them in person and they are awesome. Not my first choice (my first choice is the SportTechno painted black, which is only half black), but these are my 2nd choice. You'll love them!!!

Here are the wheels in platinum and without (for you to compare) as well as the ST's with and without black.

If it helps at all I did a 100+ mile trip the other day with some bendies and briskish driving. Came back home and the brake dust was not noticeable but it was there and found when I rubbed the wheel with my finger. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the platinum conceals it. A quick wash and dry and hey presto as good as new! I think you will be happy with the platinum wheels.... with one proviso... I'm not super convinced whether they would look great on a white car. Now black on white... perfect, Plat Silver and Plat wheel...perfect (biased), White and Plat wheels... not sure. Sorry... just my 2p.

^It's all a matter of personal taste, obviously (which is great that we all differ). I hear your concerns, but my thing against all black wheels is black hides the details of the wheel. The wheels almost disappears when you are far away from the car.

That's why I like the SportTechnos in black... as you can see in that pic, only half the wheel is painted black (which contrasts very nicely on a white car IMO) so you don't lose any detail.

Just my two cents... to each their own!

BTW, I think the ST wheels on a white car.... superb! With black accents... yum!

That's the same reason that I am not a fan of black painted wheels. I feel like the wheel wells become two black holes.

The platinum finish gives the dark look, while still maintaining the detailing in the wheel.

and yes... SportTechnos with the black accents are nice too.

And more specifically, this website will definitely help you get a better idea of what different options look like on the car.

The 19" CS wheels look great on the car. IMHO, 20" are overkill on a Porsche.
