Uh, No. That is what insurance is for. If someone hist you, their insurance pays. If you hit someone, your insurance pays.

Insurance is designed to protect you from loss. There is no way that someone can crash into you and the value of the car just "disappears".

How exactly does the one lease payment work? I assume you negotiate the price, lease is based on term (36 months let's say), and with one payment you cover the entire 36 month term. Then the residual is the negotiated price minus what's left on balance? Because you are paying the lease all at once do they reduce or forgo interest? What are the pros to do this versus just buying out right? What are the cons?

I have always paid cash so I know very little about leasing. But I'm thinking about getting another 911 and using the other for a DD (or maybe even a Panamera). I need to learn more about this so I can make an informed decision. Would anyone care to explain it to the uninitiated?
