Video:Porsche 991 CS v Nissan GT-R at track
I don't recall anyone claiming that, and I seriously doubt that any car can be driven as fast by a complete amateur as a pro.
I'm not sure what was complicated, though.
Your points are wonderful, and well thought out. I agree with all of them:
Nannies are bad, but only on Nissans (Porsche is fine, even though they are almost the same, and can't be switched off as easily).
Driving aids are bad (AWD), unless they are ones you approve (LSD)
The GT-R MUST upgrade every year, or sales will fall.
The GT-R is boring.
GT-R owners sell and purchase a GT3.
The GT-R drives itself.
None of the qualities of the GT-R exist on any other car, such as the Porsche Turbo S, Audi R8, Veyron, or FF.
I think you even went far enough to suggest that Porsche would not make a dual clutch only car, because they make cars for the driving experience.
It's funny to see you get all worked up over a company's success. Has Nissan burned you in the past or something? Are you offended that the GT-R is even in the same conversation with a Porsche?

I agree with Manifold that a professional SHOULD lap faster in any car than a complete amateur.

Not that I'm aware of. If your question was in response to my comments, I was referring to quoted 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. In that case, there are NUMEROUS events supporting that.

I could care less about the GT-R, just pointing out what's obvious to anyone other than those who can't live with something negative being said about their car on a rival forum........ Sound like someone you know?
I'm strongly opinionated, and it doesn't matter what I'm talking about, look at the threads I've posted in on RWD vs AWD, mods needed to go fast in a 996 TT or paddle shifters in Cup cars. I'm the same passionate guy no matter what I'm talking about. You my friend are so insecure as to troll this forum day in and day out to convince people of the benefits of the GT-R and defend it against anyone who says otherwise. Yet have the nerve to call me insecure? That's quite laughable.
You just hate it when people don't validate you by accepting everything about the GT-R so you defend it to your last breath. I could care less if anyone likes my car. I am on almost every forum there is and people bad mouth Porsche's all the time, yet I don't spend all day trying to convince them otherwise because I don't need their validation. I like what I have and that's enough for me.
And to add to that, half, no more than half of the time, you talk yourself into corners because you don't know what you're talking about and then try to muddy the waters by talking in circles.
I enjoy a good debate, but you take this far too personal, and it's evident in your incessant trolling of these forums. It's ok dude, the GT-R will never be a Porsche, no matter how hard Nissan tries to compare it to one.
Clearly you're obsessed with the GT-R's success. And it bothers you on a personal level. If you truly believe the GT-R is a money loser, then Nissan should go out business and that would make you happy. You win.
Because for the 21st time, you missed me saying the identical things about the Porsche Turbo as I do the GT-R. So your entire point is moot beyond that.
When you take a deep breath, and step back, you'd see it. Every one else does.

Well, this post started off with misinformation, so I'll stop here. (Well that, and absolutely nothing else in your post is related to cars, but was a false attempt of a personal attack. Do you need to be reminded by another moderator this is not a Porsche exclusive forum (completely disregarding my Porsche ownership)? I could point you in right direction if you need assistance)

How would the GT-R losing money put all of Nissan out of business? Please clue us in on that. How many manufacturers sell niche cars that don't make any, or lose money relative to their development costs but keep it around to boost the brand image. I'll give you a clue, there are many over the years.
Let's see you fake like you don't have your foot in your mouth again....
And don't try to play those personal attack games with me, if you can't take it, don't dish it out.
See what I'm talking about? No clue.............

I will try to help, using small words:
The GT-R is Nissan's halo car (meaning flagship, or standards bearer of sorts). Even back in 2008 is was designated as 'hardly' profitable (meaning relatively small profit margin, as opposed to negative - as you suggested "money loser"), before the price hike of '09.
So if you have insider information on Nissan's corporate records, please feel free to dispute this.
If not, I can show you examples where Nissan cut the quality of certain components, to retain performance and value (can't have all three, right?).
*edit: I noticed you side stepped every point that you raised earlier, that was easily disputed.
