Is $3,000 off MSRP of $120k for 991 a deal?
Finalizing deal on 991 optioned to $120k. They are offering it to me at $117k. Very little pricing data on the web. Is this a good deal?
Thanks

If it's like the 997 last year, a rough estimate is that they have 10% profit in the car, so $12K in your case (you can look up the exact number online). Compared to that, $3K doesn't sound like much, and the supply of the 991 seems ample.
My dealer has about 6 in stock and 3 on the boat. Most of his 991 sales have been cars that were ordered.
Not too much wiggle room now. I would say another 1-2K might be on the table. Really depends on how you feel about it.
go negotiate harder. tell them you'll walk away if you don't get what you want.
Certainly a wide range of answers. Thanks for info. I am headed back later today.
It is a launch car so the options get residualed differently as a lease. Has anyone else heard of this?

it's all supple and demand. if they have only one, they won't budge as much. the color and options also matter. the unpopular colors and heavy option cars will move slower.
i'd try $5k and see if you get some more discount.

In contrast to the 997.1 launch no one had available cars from day one . The demand was so great in August 2004 (for the 05 car) that dealerships were given an extra "launch car" (black.black /ceramics/ etc) just to have a car to even test dtive .
OP --2013 is not that far off . If 3K off is the best you can do and you have time to wait .. offer that same deal on the 13 and eliminate the extra year of depreciation on the curent 12 car. That'[s my opinion.
