Hi Newman. Would have responded earlier but just got back from the NY Car Show. They had one cab on display - your color with red top and interior. At least I got to see up close what you are seeing now, and what pictures don't fully show - how close the roofline of the cab now is to coupe. They did a great job!

Thanks for posting the pictures before your trip and I'm glad we at least had a nice day for you here in the north east so you could drive some after that long wait.

As to your car, I can only echo what everyone else has said - it is just stunning! Drive it in good health!

We do have to try and pick a place and get everyone on the 6 who wited for a build over the last few months to meet so we can see the cars close up.

Safe travels!
Michael

just saw one like yours today at my dealor; top up the roof blends more than your pictures - i think it is just your light. anyway, it looked amazing and also got to see the new wind break in operation. it was very slick & the car still looked good with it up.

forgot to look at the back seats to see how they compare to the 997

Michael:

Hello from chilly Arizona. Would have liked to take in the car show but this trip was scheduled a long time ago and my meetings start on Sunday. The one day with the car was great, but I never had the chance to really study it. Your point on the roof line is so true - I've never seen anything like it, looks like a coupe at times and also a little like an old speedster. Really quite intriguing.

Would definitely like to meet from lunch somewhere convenient for everyone and share our experiences. It would be fun.

Mighty fine car. Makes me want to reconsider my decision to look for a 997.2 but the wifey wont let me blow the extra 40k.

My pictures don't do the car justice. the rear seats in the 991 are a little larger and more distinct than the 997; little more leg room too, but you'd still have to be a little person to be comfortable.

Newman give it a week. It will be in the 90's next weekend in Arizona. Your care is beautiful. Enjoy. That DBM is so nice. I have an Aqua blue CS cab on order, and now wish I ordered the DBM. It should be here just in time for the 100deg weather.

I agree, this was my first time - I always found one I liked in the dealer's network of cooperating dealers before, two day wait so much better than two or three months. But once you have it, you quickly forget.
