I also ordered a C2S Cab in NYC area which arrives next month. I plan on doing partial 3M from Detailing Dynamics in Mineola.

Congrats! Eagerly waiting for pics!

Can you check to see if the key can lower and raise the roof when you get a chance?

Can anyone recommend putting film on the doors?

will check this thursday when i pick up the car

have you heard that is possible?my salesman didn't mention that, but i'll certainly look into it. on an another note are there any detailing or maintenance issues with the clear bra? in other words will routine detailing products work properly or are special products necessary so that the protected and unprotected surfaces continue to appear practically identical?

Yeah, the Xpel Ultimate website (similar to 3M) shows different options for the 991. I've heard some recommending the rockers, but conscious of not going overboard.

Yup! I know the european cars can do it (
) 46 second mark - but I am not sure if the US versions can. I read in an article that (for litigation purposes) this option was excluded but if you have the entry and drive option (in the premium package plus option) then I believe it might work.

clear bra

i spoke to my salesman about the product. he showed me several new cars with partial or full bra. I was more likely to notice the line with the partial application. In either case the door is unprotected. i did not ask if the door area could be protected. I'm not certain how vulnerable those areas are to road debris damage however.

Fair point. I'm thinking it may help minor marks from keys, shopping trolleys etc, though it is only thin film.

Rocker protection over the top?

How much are they quoting for the wheel and tire package?

Congrat! I hope to see you on the road and welcome to the Platinum silver/red leather club! Tire and ding package is a must. I had a ding in the driver's side door within 72hours I go back to Jack Daniels to get that fixed tomorrow. You can get better prices on clear bras. What dealers want for Xpel is criminal.

I went to All in the Details in Morristown for mine. 3M, the front end kit plus the full hood - you can't even see it! Chris does beautiful work. It was about $1,800. But I had him put a good coat of wax and sealer over the factory clear coat in addition. This is NJ, so I expect to have to wash often - now just because of all the pollen - and break dust. So I wanted to get a base coat down quickly to preserve the factory clear coat for a long as possible. See you on the roads! Drive in good health!

Mine was $2,200.00. Also covered body panel dings - thank goodness! Pricey, but money well spent with the potholes in out transportation trust fund bankrupt state!

The entire hood and half fenders has served me well. Had a half hood on the 2006, bu the full hood is better.

Thanks. I'm awaiting a solid black delivery... tempted just to wrap the whole thing to minimise the swirl maintenance!
