Exhaust Tips

Just ordered a 991 Base yesterday....told I will get a June Delivery. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get black dual tips to replace the stock tips? Not interested in replacing the exhaust system just the cosmetic change of the tips only. My preliminary search showed nothing so any help is appreciated.

Congrats on your new order! You're lucky to get it so soon. I ordered mine in December and I am expecting it in May. Perhaps that's because Porsche decided to make S models first.

It would probably be easier to find pre-existing black replacement tips for the more standard round "S" style. The shape of the base exhaust tips might be trickier.

You can certainly paint the originals with high temp paint to make them black. People do that all the time.

Not sure if you are refering to the ovals or the twins, but the dual sport tips(twins - non PSE) are now an option for the base starting 05/12 builds.
I am sure you can get them from Suncoast very soon, give them a call.

oh, i was thinking the dual from S (has a bypass in it)

that looks like just tips..

the S cars have a side muffler bypass to the inner exhaust even w/o PSE

$900 for tips just to fool people into thinking it's an S is a little much.... If suncoast has a $200 option that might be the limit for me.

I've gone back and forth on the PSE or no PSE, but I actually like the base oval tips.

haha The factory tips won't be that cheap. But we're also working with an aftermarket vendor to see if they have an alternative.

Porsche has been very slow to release the new accessories. We recently added roof racks and center caps. Front sun shades, Paddle steering wheels, exhaust tips, more console lids, Wood/Carbon/Brushed Aluminum kits, and more car covers are coming soon. Stay tuned for the Sport Design & Cup Aerokit packages, and a few other unique items. More to come!! Join our email list if you want the latest info.

Attached are the Porsche options, according to the recent 991 brochure (UK) - it implies the twin-pipes are part of PSE.
