MRM on Lease

Has anyone heard of MRM on a lease? This is max amount Porsche Finance will residualize. So if you have a heavily optioned car the extra costs above the MRM are assumed to be worth $0 at the end of the lease. On a 991S Cab the MRM is $134,900.

yes, that's one reason why leasing a highly optioned Porsche at these current rates doesn't make any sense. The current MF is also probably double (or more) than the comparable finance rate.

I am in NY so you do save on the sales tax if you lease. The question is will a heavily optioned low mileage cab be worth $84K in 27 mos or $77K in 36 mos?

Yes, I was considering a cab with MSRP of 145K, and was told of the same thing. It would make lease a bad deal, so I stop pursuing that car. That's also a reason why the dealer's inventory all magically stay below this threshold, unless it's a customer car.
