What bunch of whimps.

I bounced my 99 996 6 speed off the rev limiter many many times over the 12 years and 50,000 miles that I owned it. First gear is so fast it happens in a flash. My new 997 S PDK has hit the rev limiter as well even though it is not supposed to. It has a much stronger engine than the 996 so I'm not the least bit worried. Enjoy your new cars and quit worrying about it. Just watch out you don't hit anyone!
