Better than a test drive!
Today was the day! It arrived at the dealer yesterday, the bra, clear side lights and spacers went on today after it was detailed. It is beautiful and the drive from Delaware to my home in the far western suburbs of Philadelphia was a pleasure. I have taken test drives but there is absolutely nothing like driving your own 991.
The car is an Agate Grey with a black and grey interior. 20 inch wheels.
This is my first Porsche. It was love at first sight when I was 12. Saw a green Targa at Moore Motors in Philadelphia when my Dad was either picking up or having his 1966 VW 1300 serviced. It was sitting in the corner with a $7000 price tag on it....have wanted one ever since.....46 years later, its in the garage!
The acceleration - even with keeping under 4k is simply amazing. The brakes are solid and the steering (notwithstanding the comments I have read) is fantastic, a real connection with the road. Cornering is flat and precise.
I cannot believe how much I have enjoyed driving this car!

Go for it!! I did the same 2 months back thinking that I would buy this as my 40th birthday present. What the heck! You only live once so don't think too much and just go with your heart! Just got told by my dealer that mine just came out of production and is now waiting to be shipped out. Due to arrive in HK in Aug.

Congrats! Looks gorgeous and mine is also agate grey with black/platinum interior so i am glad. Pls post more pictures of interior as I still am not quite sure whether the combo is too dark for my liking.
Enjoy the ride......
Welcome to the P-car club. I've been driving them for 12 plus years and like Tom Cruise said,,,"There Is No Substitute."
Also you might consider joining your local PCA. We made some great friends there and done some great treks and events.
Good Luck.

I will post tomorrow however the photos will not do it justice. I too was concerned that it was too dark especially after playing with the Porsche simulator.
Congrats on your new Porsche! I have wanted one for along time as well and I bought a 2005 a few months ago. Unfortunately when I was ready to buy, all the outgoing 997's, with the options and styles that I liked were gone, and I was too impatient to wait. My brother was looking at something different and I bought his C2 This car is so much fun to drive!
I would love to see those photos when they are ready! Thanks!

but am waiting on the next iteration of the GT?RS
