-drop down mirror retrofit???

I had the mods4cars smartkey on my 997.2 primarily for the drop down passenger mirror.

I contacted mods4cars and they told me that for the new car they are only supporting the cabriolet. Okay I said...I'll pay a little extra and get the cabriolet version and install it on the coupe. Oops. Turns out the new smarttop (which is sold out apparently) only offers functionality regarding the top. That's it. No control over alarm beeps, one touch windows, front trunk delay (which the 991 could use) and no drop down passenger mirror in reverse!

Has anyone ever retrofitted the dropdown function? It's part of the memory seat module? I'll ask at my dealer.

This is not a small issue for me. I have been spoiled by BMW with this feature. I literally drive the 991 with the pass. side mirror down all the time just for parking...!

Any info. is appreciated. Thanks.

My 991S has the drop down feature in reverse ... are you sure you don't already have it I thought it was a standard feature.

My passenger side rear view mirror does not drop down in reverse. So which option gets it to drop down? Or is it a setting?

If you have power seats yes, it's under the settings - lighting submenu. I don't.

I also have a manual steering column. But if I could buy the memory switch for the door and have it installed, perhaps the rest can be activated in PIWIS?

It was part of the power seat on the 997.2. Most likely the same for 991. I don't order power seat b/c it is a joke....
