Annoyed with my 991!!

I purchased a 991 base cab a couple months ago and I have had a couple problems.

1) I get an error message that it is due for an "interim service"
They fixed it once and then it came back on so I scheduled a time to bring it in and so far it's been good

However, my major gripe is with the keyless go. Every now and then when I unlock the car the damn alarm goes off. It's pretty damn embarrassing to say the lease and I told them about it when I brought the car in for service but unfortunately it's not something that cab recreated so I had no way of showing them.

Not sure what to do and I'm tired of bringing the car in every week.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

The keyless entry and go system is not good at all, I've heard nothing but problems about it, and my dealer told me not to get it.

i have a base 991 with keyless entry...it works. I suggest that you visit another dealer. I have noticed that although Porsche builds a fine automobile, their dealer service network is..well, spotty. I suggest that you ask them to reprogram the car. If that does not work, then request that they replace the computer...if that does not work, ask them for a 991s.

Keyless entry is standard in my market. But I didn't know the alarm was part of it, cause I have never heard it go off. It is not the best system, but it works in my case. Get it fixed if it is bothering you, that's what the warranty is for.

I've had it happen to me twice in the 3 months I own my car ... being it rarely ever happens I really wasn't too concerned about it.

There is no way I would want to skip the keyless entry option because of this ...

No problem here! Just don't keep the key in your pocket while washing the car.

I definitely like the keyless option but the alarm sounding every now and then when i reach for my door handle isn't that funny, specially when other people are around

Hopefully they come up with a fix because what my dealer has tried so far isn't working

No problems here, my only gripe is no push start button.

I put 5000 miles on my 991 Cab, no problems at all. At this point, I'm even OK with the key and not the button! Definitely cannot wash car with hose and your key in your pocket without the front bonnet releasing.
