Hi All,
Have a strange issue with my recently acquired 07 Flying Spur,
The navigation DVD is inserted into the drive, but all I see on the infotainment screen is 'insert a dvd'. The DVD just spins & spins, no recognition.

I'm not planning to use it for any serious navigation since it's pretty old, but just like things to work!

Do you have another DVD? Many times the heads in the reader go slightly off and the reader can't read the DVD tracks. Your reader may be pooched or your DVD might be damaged. If you insert another DVD and it reads OK, you'll know the reader is OK.

Thanks for the input. I thought it was weird when I looked at the DVD, like it had never been out of it's package, like maybe the Navi system was never used. The car was previously owned by an older man & maybe never had use for it, I dunno. I don't have another DVD but, kongolo, that looks like a good option & reasonably priced!

I have the car at my 'Bentley master' & asked him to look at it, stay posted, thanks again.

I read your PM and have a question, you wrote that you have a "BW0 919 859 CR", I believe you meant a 3W0, am I correct?
Also as you say it is a "2016" disc, that is the problem, is the disc a "HERE" and not a NAVTEQ ?
The OEM disc I have that came inside the 2010 DVD NAV drive I purchased along with the 2010 Infotainment head unit is the "3W0 919 859E" dated 2008 by NAVTEQ, and was for the 2009-11 style head units and NAV drives from my research, I also purchased a 3W0 919 859 CF dated 2015 as I was told it was the latest version for the 2010 NAV drive, WELL, that was incorrect information, the "CF" is for the 2012 style head unit and does not work in our years systems, it will insert and just keep spinning, and the screen will keep asking for you to insert a disc, according to scuderia and others I have checked with, the "E" version is the latest update for our cars, I even called NAVTEQ who is now HERE owned by Nokia, and they claimed that they never made any NAV discs for Bentley, I was like really, I have 3 in my hand right now, so that went nowhere....

So I ended up buying the BMW 2 disc 2015 set as pictured below, although you will need to switch the discs if you plan to go outside of the current installed disc area..

Yes, you're correct, 3W0 not BW0
Yes, it is a "Here" disc. I also called them & they referred me to a dealer, I called a dealer & had in instant response from the sales dept, still waiting on a call back from the parts dept. I contacted Martin at Suderia & after several email exchanges he determined they had no compatible DVD.

Apparently those DVDs on eBay are gold plated, how else can you justify $2000 ?! Using the PN on your image for the BMW DVDs I found a pair of DVDs delivered for $20. Although I may decide to flip them on eBay for $1,000. Smile
Anxiously awaiting them now so I can finally find out where I am.

Last night the price was $10 + $3.75 for shipping, it did say almost gone, so he must have ran out of them, and jacked to price to $2000 to keep the listing instead of ending it..

 

I checked the link last night and it was about $10. I would've bought it if I knew it was going to appreciate so fast!

 

Very happy to report the BMW nav disc, PN 65 90 2 365 699, maps current as on 2015, works perfectly in my DVD drive. So if you're needing updated maps for a 2007 MY, this is a solid option, don't know about compatibility with anything newer.
