The 991 is so stable I don't think you will have to worry about that.

Yeah, BUT - if the RWD is already that stable, imagine how much MORE stable the AWD version will be.

Manufacturers have been putting in GREAT attempts at making their cars not only perform well, but make them drivable as well (some arguably too drivable).

parkerfe is infamous around these parts
AWD with its inherent tendency to understeer is great for off-road and extremely wet or icy conditions, as well as being safer for the novice. But for a sports car, track car, or race car for that matter, rwd is superior in all respects; oversteer is more fun too!
