Today, i try to open passenger glove compartment but it won't open! there is no friction so i think the cable might already lose. I did not lock it but somehow it wont open.

Anyone know how to open it? Is there any tip? thanks.

 

Did you try using the key to see if that would at least open it?

 

Yeah I did try and the glove box is unlock, still won't open.

 

The opening latch is connected to a mechanism that works two latches (one on each side). When you pull the lever slowly, you should feel some friction in the mechanism as they release the two latches. If you don't feel this friction then the mechanism is broken and you will have to take it in. If you do feel the latches moving, then perhaps they are just not moving far enough to clear. In that case, the odds are that one is clearing and one is not. Try pulling the latch and then while holding the latch open, pull each side of the glove compartment to see if one side releases. If one of them releases, then perhaps the compartment will twist enough to release the other.

The alternative is to take it to your dealer and let him worry about it.
