991 engine lid problems

Is there a manual opening device for the engine lid..The lid won't open by the switch in the car..makes the noise but lid does not open. TU

as you face the engine compartment from the back, look through the louvers and you may see the emergency release wire on the right side. pull to the right.

rnl..looked for the wire but can't seem to find it...As a matter of fact looked all over..see nothing..going to take it to the dealer.

there may be a plastic cover over it....you may have to pry it loose with a long handled screwdriver.

Do you have a picture. I have an early 2012 and can't find anything. Opened the engine compartment and still don't see it.

Try to pull the emergency release in the frunk. It should open the back.
