Steering Wheel Heating
For increased comfort on cold days, steering wheel heating is available as an option for the sport steering wheel and multifunction steering wheel (only in conjunction with seat heating).

Heating is not available on the Sport Design wheel,....only the "Sport Wheel", which is the base/standard wheel, or the MF wheel.

Try it on the configurator and it will say you need to de-seclect the Sport Design wheel to have heating.

Confusing to say the least with the addition of the word "sport" to even the base seats, wheels, etc. now.

Ahhhh... I stand corrected. So either move to a warmer clime or wear gloves!

I have to agree, it's all a bit confusing. Does the OP want a steering wheel at all!

Just a vice grip attached to the drive shaft is all I need!

But seriously, since this car will be a DD, including freeway time, there is much to be said for the value in the MF wheel in terms of not having to look away from the road to adjust radio and other controls. OTOH, the Sport Wheel just looks nicer. Some of the aftermarket wheels that I have seen are really cool too... Sigh, decisions decisions!

No need to look away from the road or take your hands off the steering with the SD steering wheel. The stalk does it all.

The SD wheel facing is plastic with faux aluminum type accents. It's made to look like it has two aluminum spokes on either side, but it's a plastic cover with no air space between the spokes, it's black plastic.

IMO I'd rather have it cost twice as much and be constructed differently with genuine aluminum spokes. I like the design, just the implementation of it that's kinda cheesy.

All that matters most is if the owner likes it though.
yep, like many other standard accents like the shiny plastic trim all over that gives an impression of aluminium..come on, it's ok for steering wheel to be high quality plastic as long as it looks and feels good. I'm sure it's very expensive high quality plastic
