Motor oil weight

The owner's manual permits 5W-40 Mobile 1. Is anyone using that? If so, is there a benefit?

hlee1169 is infamous around these parts
When I asked the dealer to change my oil after my first DE, they use Pennzoil Ultra 5W40 European Formula, $98 for oil alone. More expensive than Mobile 1, but engine feels stronger on my second DE. Maybe just engine loosening up. My 2 cents, anyway.
