Picked up my S today!
Congrats Haku-What a beautiful car with great options. You will love the 991 more with each mile as the motor breaks in. I followed the break in guidelines so the first few thousand miles were slightly painful for me. I have about 3K miles and loving every minute of it! Its a special day for you so congrats again!
When required the 991 appears to have the wondrous ability to shift from Jeckl to Hyde in a manner that is far more pronounced than in any other 911 that I have driven. I'm already converted!
Both my nephews are Porscheholics!
Congrats! Looks very nice. Great choice on both the wheel style and especially the color. I was expecting they would be body color match though when you said they were platinum too. Don't get me wrong, they look way better in the color they are than if they matched the body!
Next mod you should do is to get the front lip painted body color. I think it'll look good to keep the front air slats in the bumper black instead of painting them, though it's really impossible to know without seeing them both ways.
Any other plans for mods?

heheHmmm.... haven't given mods too much thought but I'm going to photoshop the lip and paint it to see what it may look like. I always like the minimal and old school look so if it works I may get it done. Thanks for the pointer.
I've had four previous 911's and have never gotten this excited about getting any one of them. I've been wondering why this time is so much more fulfilling. It may have something to do with the whole custom order experience one goes through. Spec the car, build date, shipping, and collection. All these phases necessitate patience and periods of waiting. It's all of that that also fuels the anticipation and excitement .
It's painful waiting... but we'll worth it!
[QUOTE=Haku;3650394]My build was completed on the 7th, on the Marina Ace which sailed on the 12th, arrived Brunswick 24th, at the dealer in Chattanooga 26th afternoon! I arrived at the dealership just in time to see the car being delivered.......
Super machine
a very sportive look and absolutely brilliant with the Platinum wheels
Well done, also with the steel roof you're right !

Thank you aw. At the moment I'm happy with my choice of options. I was lucky with the body and wheel combination as I had not seen it for real prior to ordering it. I think it looks nice.
Haku...Your car is beautiful. My car is a base but the same color as yours. It is still on the Marina Ace and scheduled to arrive in Houston tomorrow. I am so happy you finally got your car, I know the wait was long...Billy
Not long for you... I can't wait to see the pics.
Yeehah...FINALLY...you've got it. Many congrats !! I can only imagine how it'd feel like. I'd probably be staring at the car when not driving and be kicked out of the house by my wife!! It must be amazing feeling. Congrats again and wish you enjoy in good health!

T, thank you. Of course I am biased but I have no regrets about the combo. I like the slight hue changes of the platinum silver and the perceived darkening of the wheels when the light changes. It's turned out lurvely!
