Several new “campaigns” i.e. recalls and a loaner track day
I love how they call it a campaign instead of a recall. Doesn’t matter. The word recall does not scare me like most.
I took the car in because of this awful brake squeal. Turns out there is a “campaign” for the rear brakes on a selection of vin #s. Mine does not fit the selection but seems to be showing the issue. They are changing them. There was another campaign where they had to remove the rear bumper cover. They were not able to get it completed so they gave me a Panamera 4 for the weekend. I forgot that I was going to a PDX to help a buddy.
Well, a $100 a one hour later…
Tracking a non-S Panamera is like driving a bowl of soup. But I had fun. No permanent damage. I just hope the smells clears before Monday J
Dude, you gotta be kidding me -- you AutoXed/tracked a loaner Panamera??!! That is awesome, seriously! (Not sure what PDX is...)
I just got mine back from 2 "campaigns" too... not a big deal to me. One was for extra body sealing. My car has been driven in very hard rain for hours at a time with no issues so I'm thinking these recalls are just conservative (Germans being Germans) which is fine by me.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.
No idea what PDX stands for but essentially it is a track day. My buddy brought his spec Miata. His brother brought a Saturn that had race brakes and Hoosier slicks. It handled surprisingly well. Just really slow. Pretty funny to watch.
Keep in mind I have tracked several rental cars. Set a rental car on fire because of the brakes and used a Cadillac SRX for a pace car.

Know what the second fastest car is? A rental car
Know what the fastest car is? Someone else's rental car
