First Steps in Ordering a 911 S Next Spring. What Do You Think of This Configuration?
I used to have an A6 for four years with a manual and swore that I would not do it again for my daily driver, but my commute is different now and the Porsche will double duty as weekend fun car so I kind of want the manual again.
I thought about it, but I don't really want it. Thankfully my commute is long, but USUALLY no traffic and flows well. Mornings basically never see traffic and evenings are usually ok.

Honestly I got my 997 TT just 2 years ago and the first 6 mo was fun, track days are still fun but I more or less stopped using the car as a DD because of the MT. I'm picking up my new 991s with PDK tomorrow and I can't wait

Anyway it's a great car and no matter what direction you go you will have a lot of fun!
I never parallel park so wouldn't ever get the use from Park Assist.
Seat Ventilation comes in the Premium Plus.
Sport Chrono is there.
Need to listen the PSE to decide.
I like Carbon as well, but (1) not sure about Carbon + Beige, might need to do Carbon + Grey.
I like the White Instrument dials but hate the close to $1k cost.
Sound, I also need to listen to decide.
The 20" wheel will last a week around NJ/NY, I really need something with fatter sidewalls to expect them to last and not get killed.
Basically looks like I am around $115k give or take a bit.

Make sure you have all important options covered that are not available as tequipment parts, which I think you do.
Some interior pieces painted in exterior color always do well. I have my center console painted and I love it. Also consider any other leather upgrades. I'd spend less money on seats. Not much added value on what are already awesome standard seats I think.
So as a possible alternative, I was lightly entertaining the idea of a used F430. Been really wanting one for years and now the prices are more reasonable. So this weekend, I got to drive one for just a few min at one of those Gotham Dream Cars events (present from a friend).
All I can say is that the 430 is bordering on being better than sex. Needless to say, I enjoyed the short drive immensely. I could not get really comfortable in the short time behind the wheel, but the car is so capable it was just a blast to drive. I then tried a 599 and didn't enjoy it nearly the same. Driving the two back to back, the differences were just so obvious. While the 430 felt like it was on rails, the 599 felt like a barge with a lot more understeer. I just couldn't get comfortable with it like the 430.
Ok so what does this matter. Realizing that the 430 is not a feasible option for me, makes me want the 991S that much more! I've driven several 997s and they were all great, I can't wait to try out the 991 with PDCC. Definitely don't want the sport PASM to keep it better suited for the horrible northeast roads.

I test drove the 991 launch vehicle and loved the performance and fun factor that my manual had. I ordered my new 911, traded in my Panamera and love it. Usually place in manual and shift when I want to or for a boring drive, I just leave it in auto. I would recommend you to take a test spin with the PDK and the manual.
If after my knee replacement, I can comfortly shift again, I will go back to the manual,,,,maybe?
