2013 991 GT3 RSR Spy Shots
The Dutch magazine autoweek.nl have caught Porsche's new GT3 R, based on the new 991, testing out on the track. We can clearly make out from these pics the new racer has a completely new front and rear end design and features distinctive massive intakes in the hood. The ultra-wide rear hips and new style 991 tail-lamps, give the weekend warrior a similar look to the upcoming Porsche 918.
The all-new GT3 R will be delivered to teams globally in 2013, and is expected to cost just shy of $400,000. We expect the new version to shed a few pounds and receive a power boost from the out-going racer's 500hp power-plant.

Good point - I guess the point I was getting at was to whether to wait for the 991 GT3. I think my impatience will the better of me.

Supposedly, Porsche will be launching the car in competition at Le Mans in June. They are fielding a pseudo factory team, with the help of Manthey Racing, for the first time since 1998.
Should be a good time!
